A boutique structure allows the engagement to focus on your project. We discuss whether a defined task is suitable for a flat fee or whether staged or hourly work makes more sense. Government fees, outside costs, and later stages are addressed in the proposal.
The purpose is a scope and budget you can evaluate before deciding to proceed. Ask which tasks the proposal includes, which decisions need further approval, and how later examiner responses or additional filings would be handled.

Common questions
Can you help if my application is already pending?
Yes. We can evaluate work filed by you or another attorney after reviewing conflicts, the file, and the time available. Include the current Office Action date and known deadline in your inquiry. Acceptance and responsibility for the matter must be confirmed before we undertake the response.
Do I need to be in Texas or Florida?
No. We can handle the agreed U.S. patent work remotely for clients elsewhere in the United States and overseas. Advice on state law depends on the attorney's admissions and the matter. See our U.S. patent services for international clients, including coordination with foreign counsel.
Can I start with one project or get ongoing patent help?
Either may be appropriate. An inventor may need an application or examiner response; a growing business may need recurring filing priorities and portfolio review. We define the agreed work and responsibilities for each engagement. Ongoing counsel does not mean every future filing or response is automatically included.
What should I send first?
Your contact details, company name if applicable, country, a general technology description, requested work, and any known deadline.
